A quick moment to post

So I haven't had as much time to write in here as I would like lately, but it's for a good reason. Ramona has started staying up later so I get to spend more time with her when I get off of work, but have less "me" time to goof off on the internet, edit videos and pictures, etc. I've been using my free time after she goes to bed to work on job hunting since I was neglecting that for awhile. I applied for four jobs last night and am looking for more to apply to tomorrow.

Ramona has also been much more of a handful since she's achieved mobility, but it makes her a lot more fun. There's a sense of surprise that accompanies every action of someone who can do things but lacks the sense to avoid bad ideas. She's constantly bumping her head or falling over or attempting to do something that gravity will not allow. She also has some sort of baby radar that hones in on small objects she should not put in her mouth. I'm not even talking choking hazards, I'm talking mouthfuls of cat fur. It's gross and especially annoying when you consider how difficult it is to get actual food in her mouth. Why does she fight food being put in her mouth and welcome garbage? The world may never know.

Anyway, I am working on editing a video of her feeding herself some Gerber puffs. She likes them a lot and is learning to get them in her mouth pretty accurately. I'm going to try cutting veggies in very small pieces to see if she can feed them to herself since she seems to prefer it to being fed. She will let others feed her, but it often ends up like this:

I imagine self feeding something messy like cooked veggies will probably end up similarly, but she might enjoy it more, and the more she works on her hand eye coordination, the better.

I leave you with a video of her watching the opening of Yo Gabba Gabba! She usually is more enthusiastic than this, but I usually am holding her and dancing around. There are some good smiles and you get to hear her favorite noises to make right now. She laughs a little at the end.
